According to Encarta® World English Dictionary, the definition for “Illustration” is “a drawing, photograph or diagram that accompanies and complements a printed, spoken, or electronic text.” An illustration can also tell a story, educate, bring a concept to life and evoke feelings and full ranges of emotion.
